A Micro Wedding Tale: Nat and Dan’s Rainy and ridiculously fun wedding in Berry
When it comes to weddings, bigger isn’t always better. Nat and Dan proved this with their ridiculously fun micro wedding, a celebration filled with love, lots of laughter, and a touch of unexpected rain (ney downpour). Let me take you on a journey through their intimate and ridiculously fun day in the charming town of Berry, NSW.
Nestled in the picturesque countryside just over an hour from Sydney, Berry set the scene for Nat and Dan’s heartfelt ceremony at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. As the couple exchanged vows, the heavens opened up with torrential rain, adding a romantic yet unpredictable twist to their special day.
Despite the weather, the newlyweds and their guests embraced the spontaneity of the moment. After the ceremony, everyone gathered on Berry’s main street, seeking refuge and delighting in the famous offerings of the Berry Donut Van. Finger foods and laughter filled the air as the rain continued to pour down.
Undeterred by the downpour, we ventured out into the streets of Berry for a portrait session that was nothing short of magical. With Nat and Dan hopping into a vintage VW Bug, we made our way to Gerringong for their intimate reception at Gather By The Hill. The venue’s vibrant atmosphere and live entertainment provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of celebration and joy.
But the fun didn’t stop there. Returning to Berry for the final leg of our journey, Nat and Dan fully embraced the whimsy of the moment. From jumping in puddles to donning fluffy animal masks and setting off smoke bombs, every moment was captured with exuberance and spontaneity.
As the day drew to a close, we found ourselves back at the charming Berry View Hotel, a retro retreat on the outskirts of town. Here, amidst the comforts of their hotel room, Nat and Dan shared a quiet moment together, sipping champagne in a bathtub filled with (champaign) bubbles and laughter.
Nat and Dan’s wedding was a testament to the beauty of simplicity and the power of love to weather any storm. In the heart of Berry, surrounded by friends, family, and endless possibilities, they created memories that will last a lifetime.
We believe that every wedding tells a unique story, and we feel privileged to have been a part of Nat and Dan’s unforgettable day. From the heartfelt moments to the spontaneous adventures, we strive to capture the essence of your love story in every frame.
If you’re planning your own micro wedding or dreaming of a romantic countryside escape, we’d love to hear from you. Let us help you turn your vision into a timeless masterpiece that you’ll cherish for years to come.

STYLE
This wedding was shot using both handheld rig and the gimbal. We also like to emulate film when shooting, to achieve this we shoot a flat S-LOG3 profile on a Sony A7siii to preserve highlights and shadows. All colour grading is done by us in FCPX and use Dehancer Pro V2 for grain, additional blooming, halation on a Kodak Endura Glossy Paper print emulating Kodak Portra 800 film stock. We also threw in a little Super 8 styled footage just to top it off.
