An Autumn Wedding Film at Growwild Wildflower Farm | Caeley & Hayden
Rich velvet colours, wildflowers, gelato and a dance floor full of people having a very good time. Caeley and Hayden’s autumn wedding at Growwild Wildflower Farm brought together so many of the things we love about filming weddings in the Southern Highlands.
There was plenty to take in, but it was the feeling of the day that stayed with us. Relaxed, warm and full of personality, with time to enjoy the surroundings and the people who had come to celebrate. A beautiful setting, yes, but also a wedding that felt completely their own.
An autumn wedding in the Southern Highlands
Growwild gave this celebration such a lovely backdrop. Gardens, open countryside and timber textures sat alongside autumn foliage, with pockets of colour throughout the grounds. As the afternoon light softened, the whole setting took on that warm glow that makes autumn in the Southern Highlands so special.
Caeley and Hayden’s choice of colours worked beautifully here. Hayden’s deep green velvet jacket and the rich burgundy bridesmaid dresses brought warmth and texture to the day. Against the greenery and Caeley’s flowing white gown, those tones felt bold without overwhelming the natural setting.
We love colour in a wedding film. The greens of the gardens, the reds in the styling and the warmth of the late afternoon all help bring you back to a particular place and moment.
Garden vows, lawn games and gelato
Their outdoor ceremony was framed by greenery, with live music from Red Soda Band and Divine Celebrancy bringing everyone together for the main event.
Afterwards, the afternoon opened up into lawn games, food and time with family and friends. Giant Jenga and cornhole gave guests something to get stuck into, while the gelato cart added a little extra sweetness.
These parts of a wedding are a joy to capture on video. There is movement and personality everywhere, from a competitive lawn game to the small reactions happening around it. Giving people space to enjoy themselves leaves room for those moments to happen naturally.
Growwild suited that relaxed pace so well. Guests could enjoy being outdoors, and the gardens became part of the celebration.
A little time in the golden light
With the sun dropping through the trees, Caeley and Hayden stepped away together for a little time around the grounds.
The tree lined drive, autumn leaves and warm light made a beautiful setting for this quieter part of the day. Their film could breathe here, with space between the ceremony and the energy of the evening.
Our approach to wedding videography leaves room for that change of pace. We love the big celebrations, but the smaller moments matter just as much. A walk together, a shared smile and a few minutes away from the crowd all belong in the story.
An evening in the marquee
As daylight faded, the celebration moved into the marquee. Draped fabric and warm lights created an inviting setting for the evening, with PB Catering looking after the food and DJ Nav bringing the music.
Then came the dancing. Jackets off, hands up and everyone getting involved. After the softer light and slower moments of the afternoon, the dance floor brought a whole new energy to the day.
That variety is what we love about a wedding film. The setting gives it a sense of place, while the people give it life.
Caeley and Hayden’s Growwild wedding video
For us, capturing a wedding at Growwild Wildflower Farm is about preserving the feeling of being there. For Caeley and Hayden, that meant autumn colour, a relaxed afternoon outdoors and a night spent celebrating with their favourite people.
Real people. Real connection. And all those little moments that make a wedding their own.
