Stonehurst, Cedar Creek | Hunter Valley Region

The venue was the biggest inspiration for the styling of this shoot. We chose Stonehurst as it has many beautiful facets. It’s rustic, natural, historic and so unique.

We styled the shoot with a certain rustic elegance to highlight the character of the grounds and added an ethereal thread to soften the aesthetic.

Much of the shoot is set amongst the picturesque and striking poplar grove. We drew inspiration from the organic nature of the grove and incorporated intricate branch structures into the styling and floral arrangements.

A classic and timeless colour palette of ebony, crushed linen, ivory and rose gold was chosen to highlight and complement the stunning mix of textures found in the natural backdrop at Stonehurst.

With focus on the rising trend of small gatherings, we set the scene for the most intimate of wedding celebrations.

Styled in Stonehurst’s Pavilion, the tablescape includes a beautiful mix of rustic and elegant pieces and is finished with a romantic glow of candlelight. Layers and texture play a huge part in the design of the tablescape.

The character of the surroundings is echoed by the rustic timber table and the delicate branch arrangement suspended above. The look is softened by the fine draping of the muslin cloth in warm grey and ivory. A touch of glamour is introduced with the crystal glassware.

A new dimension is added again with the contrasting shapes and tones of the vases and candles creating a simple yet effective feature along the table.

Much like the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape, the styling elements are not confined to the table and spill onto ground with a flourish of tall floral arrangements and candles to enhance the visual impact of the space.
