Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, Sydney City | Sydney
A beautiful and intimate elopement of Amy and Paul at the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel in Sydney on Christmas Eve was the perfect way to end 2022.
Amy and Paul were the most adorable couple, wanting to share their nuptials intimately with an elopement at the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, a heritage listed building in the heart of Sydney, built1923.
This was such a fun afternoon between the five of us (the couple, the two of us and celebrant). The hotel itself really suited Amy and Paul, with an abundance of space to take photos and video throughout, including a spectacular bar and internal staircase which made for some amazing wedding photos and this film.
To finish off their wonderful little elopement we were left with a little xmas goodie-bag which was a lovely touch, thank you! As the hotel was dark, we opted to emulate Kodak’s Portra 800 filmstock for our photography, developed on a Noritsu scanner for that vintage feel that we just love and kept it similar for the video aswell.
Shot using a 50fps 24fps and 60fps (some rooms had too much flicker shooting in NTSC on the camera so had to use PAL for those rooms to keep this wedding slow to match the pace to the lovely song choice from the couple).
