Sergeants Mess, Mosman | Sydney
Vibrant, colourful and bright pretty much sums up Eshana and Kumi’s Sergeants Mess wedding. The weather was absolutely perfect despite being in the middle of the third La Niña Sydney has had in a row. Kumi and Eshana each got ready in their family homes with their bridal party, families and beautiful Labrador Retriever’s Max (with Esh) and Logan (with Kumi). It was really special to have their beloved puppers still be a part of this joyous occasion. Gather and Stitch Beauty did an amazing job on the hair and makeup and Eshana was an absolute vision in her Ethni.Q by Dilini saree.
They shared a hilarious first look followed by some portraits around Sergeants Mess and ending at Clifton Gardens Beach.
The sunset ceremony perfectly matched the warm colour palette of the florals designed by Sylvia Chan at Serenity Flowers. The traditional Sri Lankan poruwa ceremony started with some breathtaking kandyan dancers and drummers walking each Kumi and Eshana and their respective families down the aisle. Some of the highlights include the lighting of the oil lamp which signifies unity and when three of their gorgeous young guests sang the traditional Buddhist chant (the Jayamangala Gatha) which warmed our hearts.
The reception was packed with fun which commenced with an epic entrance and group dance by the entire bridal party and some absolutely heartfelt speeches and games!
Eshana and Kumi are so ambitious, adventurous and easy going by nature and their love and admiration for each other was evident on the day! There was no shortage of special moments to capture.
Eshana and Kumi had an amazing pre-wedding portrait session at the Manly Wormhole at Curl Curl beach.
