Celia and Sanji’s wedding day unfolded beautifully across some of our favourite spaces in the Southern Highlands, with a relaxed pace that allowed every part of the day to breathe.
A Meaningful Morning in the Southern Highlands
The day began at a nearby Airbnb, where Celia and Sanji shared a traditional tea ceremony with close friends and family. It was intimate, joyful, and full of warmth. Between laughter, gentle nerves, and playful games, the morning set the tone for a day that felt deeply personal and connected.
This slower start is something we always love about Southern Highlands weddings. There is space for culture, for emotion, and for moments that feel grounding before the celebrations begin.
A Summer Ceremony at Bendooley Estate
From there, it was time to head to Bendooley Estate, where Celia and Sanji exchanged vows on the lawns surrounded by stunning European inspired gardens. On a perfect summer’s day, the light filtered softly through the trees as guests gathered for the ceremony.
Bendooley’s ceremony spaces have a way of feeling both grand and intimate at the same time. The gardens frame every moment beautifully without ever feeling overpowering, which makes it a dream location for wedding photography and videography.
Cocktails by the Lake
Following the ceremony, guests moved to the Lakeside Pavilion for cocktail hour, which is always a crowd favourite. With water views, relaxed conversations, and a gentle buzz of celebration in the air, this part of the day flowed effortlessly.
While guests enjoyed drinks and canapés, we took Celia and Sanji for portraits around the homestead and gardens. These moments were calm, romantic, and genuinely magical. The soft greenery, historic buildings, and natural light created images that feel timeless and honest.
A Book Barn Reception to Remember
As the afternoon light faded, we made our way up to the Book Barn for the reception. There is something incredibly special about walking into the Book Barn as the fairy lights begin to glow and the space fills with warmth and anticipation.
The reception was charming, full of laughter, and rich with atmosphere. Surrounded by books, twinkling lights, and their favourite people, Celia and Sanji’s celebration felt cosy, romantic, and completely true to them.
