Lincolns Rock, Wentworth Falls | The Blue Mountains
Vicki and Bup’s pre-wedding portraits may have been in mid-autumn, yet the weather-gods said otherwise as the mercury dipped into single digits as the wind blew over The Blue Mountains.
With several reschedules due to wet weather, we finally found a sunny day on Easter Monday. Our location of choice was Lincoln’s Rock in Wentworth Falls (Blue Mountains) which is situated only 1.5 hours outside of Sydney.
With the sun beaming, we were in for a fantastic photoshoot and although it was extremely windy it only made for more emotional and beautiful portraits.
We had such an amazing sunset at Lincoln’s Rock and with wind-swept hair we were in for a treat. Vicki was an absolute trooper, with the windchill at 2.5 degrees Celsius she managed to put on a brave face and the photos couldn’t have come out any better, we’re so proud them both.
The light and airy golden tones over the picturesque Blue Mountains was everything we could have asked for which played into our natural light photography as we shot on the Nikon Z6 using the Canon 35mm 1.4 and Nikon 85mm 1.8s.
Like a lot of our portrait photography, this photoshoot emulated the Portra 800 film stock on a Noritsu scanner which we think made these pre-wedding portraits look amazing.
