We just couldn’t believe this day! We shot a wedding in actual torrential rain (worst in over 20 years). This poor couple (Emily and Matthew) came to Sydney all the way from Canada and had a beautiful plan to get married at the Botanic Gardens with the Harbour Bridge in the background – only, we had the heaviest rain we had seen in about 30 years. The ceremony had to be changed and was now held indoors at the QVB Tea Rooms. This couple were the nicest and happiest people we have ever met! They were the epitome of “easy going” and their love and happiness shone through despite the crazy rain. This has been the most memorable wedding we have ever shot to date – we were completely soaked through despite preparing ourselves with ponchos and as much waterproofing as possible, umbrellas were broken, there were leaves everywhere, our “weather-proof “cameras started malfunctioning because of the moisture in the air – we just couldn’t escape it! A true testament to how gorgeous this couple is was their wedding guests, they were the so much fun. This wedding certainly has a special place in our hearts. You have to check out the video to see just how much rain we had.
